Wanted to add a twitter recent-tweet display onto a wordpress site, presumably in a widget area. Looked at the various plugins, decided to go with Twitter Widget Pro.  Pretty easy, handles all the proper linking, and can use css to style the way you want.  Bonus: can automatically remove the @replies.

As for the styling, after getting into it a bit further the css styling only got you so far.  This widget didn’t actually have classes in all the tags I wanted to use, let alone even a master class in a div surrounding the whole thing – which would seem to be a good idea.  However, with a couple simple edits to the plugin php and adding a couple class attributes, can make it look however you want.  Even hide areas like the timestamps or “from tweetdeck” attributes.

Why do people care about which app I tweeted from?  I don’t quite get it, personally.
